Research Interests

I am interested in the factors which mould pathogen communities, and how these factors change over time. My previous work has focussed on the determinants of Rabies virus host shifts, particularly focussing on host relatedness. My PhD project work will survey the prevalence and distribution of around 50 different viruses of Drosophila around Southern Scotland, in order to examine host range, and historical host shifts.
