Research Interests

I am interested in arboviruses and how molecular and evolutionary biology can be combined to understand insect-arbovirus coevolution, antiviral resistance and detecting new emergent species. For my PhD, I will work on the population genetics and functional genomics of insect viruses using Drosophila as a model. This will enable me to understand the timescale of insect-virus coevolution and the effects of viral infection on the host.
